To Paul Ryan: It’s A crucial moment for America’s Homeless! So please don’t send me an email requesting donations & use a fake email address!

We got an eMail from Paul Ryan today! It’s below, but we were asked to donate something to the campaign! Surprise eh? The Subject of the eMail was “A crucial moment for America“!

So, we attempted to connect with a message back to Paul & Mitt, given they’re right there in Tampa, an area we’re especially concerned about because of the attitude towards homeless people in Central Florida!

They want to CRIMINALIZE HOMELESSNESS in Florida!

Here’s our message to Paul & MItt:

Paul,

While I get the need for posturing in an election campaign we, as advocates for the poor & particularly the homeless, feel an outreach right outside the doors of the convention center to the homeless living on the streets of Tampa might show that the Republican Party could turn your convention into a Do-vention!

Too bad in many states the homeless can’t vote too!

It has been shown that when creative people turn their Conference into a Do-ference solutions reveal themselves!

Tampa is one of the largest centers of homelessness in the country.

Other communities in Florida are criminalizing homelessness!

There have been recent news coverage while y’all are there in Tampa of the homeless hidden from your view!

Have someone reach out & see it for yourself!

That is NOT the solution, criminalization that is!

We’d be happy to share solutions that need your support.

Enabling the faith community to do more, much like Bush’s faith-based initiatives approach & putting meat in them will enable communities to solve the problem & not depend on the Federal Government!

After all, isn’t that what we’re all after, solutions that work & lessen the overall burden on the taxpayer?

We can only support your agenda if we have faith in your solutions to fixing the safety net, a topic we’ve blogged about.

If Speaker John Boehner truly believes what he said in an interview on ABC This Week where he said “everyone deserves a roof over their head” then it’s time to make it a reality!

Best wishes for your awakening on social justice & political campaigns not being at odds when it comes to what the poor & homeless really need to survive!

Please join our mission for Housing First for our chronic homeless who are living lives of desperation & hopelessness.

Please pass this message on to Mitt!

This is the moment when we pull together and renew our commitment to returning America to prosperity and greatness.Governor Romney is the man for this moment. He, the Republican team, and I share one commitment:We will restore the promise and greatness of this country.

Donate $3 today to support us and the Republican team — and to advance an agenda of economic growth, job creation, and fiscal discipline.
